Ric Geyer
Ric Geyer is a dynamic leader who seamlessly blends corporate strategy with community revitalization. With a background in corporate consulting, including roles at Deloitte, Ford Motor, and the City of Detroit, Ric has spent decades creating innovative solutions for both private and public sector clients. He served as managing partner at 4731 Consulting, focusing on urban renewal and city improvement initiatives. Notably, Ric’s efforts have included revitalizing Detroit’s West Side through the 4731 Arts Incubator and working with the Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation to win a State of Michigan award.
Ric’s commitment to Detroit extends back to the early 90s when he contributed to projects like Paint the Town and Habitat for Humanity. He has held leadership roles, including serving as an advisor to the mayor and as interim CFO for Detroit’s Super Bowl efforts. He also chaired the Heidelberg Arts Project and served on several boards, including Detroit’s Economic Development Corporation and Preservation Wayne.
A passionate advocate for neighborhood redevelopment, Ric authored a pivotal report in the 90s that reshaped Detroit’s approach to demolition by working directly with community organizations.
After making his mark in Atlanta, Ric founded Triangle Arts in Macon, Georgia, in 2022. This 4-acre creative hub in Middle Georgia fosters collaboration among artists, entrepreneurs, and the community.
The campus includes galleries, studios, and outdoor venues, hosting live events and festivals while providing workspace for nearly two dozen creatives.
Today, Ric consults with businesses and organizations on a variety of strategic and community development initiatives. He is deeply committed to fostering collaborations with artisans and makers of exceptional products, with a focus on promoting artistic ingenuity, craftsmanship, and the development of art centers where artists can create and thrive.
Ric holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Akron and an MBA in Marketing Strategy and Strategic Planning from the Wharton School. Outside of work, he is an award-winning woodworker and an avid swimmer.
