Ric is an ex-corporate strategist with a passion for revitalizing buildings and communities. With a background in corporate consulting, including roles at Arthur Andersen, Ford Motor, Deloitte and the City of Detroit, Ric has spent decades creating innovative solutions for both private and public sector clients.

His career began in Cleveland, where in addition to working at Arthur Andersen, he served as Chairman of the Pacesetter Volunteer Organization. After graduate school at the Wharton School in  Philadelphia, he moved to Detroit, where he worked for the Ford Motor Company and Deloitte Consulting. After authoring a pivotal report that reshaped Detroit’s approach to neighborhood development he was hired as a senior advisor in the Detroit Mayor’s office.

While there, he also founded his first Arts Incubator at 4731 Grand River, named “Best Arts Building” in 2004 and winning a “Cool Cities” Award from Michigan’s Governor. During that time his team also created the Grand River Creative Corridor, which earned a State of Michigan Beautification Award. 

Ric’s commitment to Detroit extends back to the early 90s when he contributed to projects like Paint the Town and Habitat for Humanity. He served as interim CFO for Detroit’s Super Bowl, interim CEO of Detroit’s Economic Development Corporation and chaired the Heidelberg Arts Project and Preservation Wayne. 

He next moved to Atlanta, where worked on a Bloomberg-sponsored effort to increase efficiency in the Mayor’s Office. While in Atlanta, he purchased and rebuilt 787 Windsor, hosting national entertainment acts, movie companies and corporations and winning a “Best Event Venue in Atlanta” award from Creative Loafing Magazine.

Ric’s next stop was in Macon, GA, where he founded Triangle Arts in Macon, Georgia, in 2019. According to Forbes Magazine, “Triangle Arts is a creative hub like no other. Spread across 4 acres in the Tybee neighborhood, this visionary multi-use complex champions diversity with the largest display of street art in Middle Georgia.”

Today, Ric consults with businesses and organizations on a variety of strategic and community development initiatives. He is deeply committed to fostering collaborations with artisans and makers of exceptional products, with a focus on promoting artistic ingenuity, craftsmanship, and the development of art centers where artists can create and thrive. He continues to build award-winning furniture as he searches for his next arts project.
