787 Windsor
Atlanta
787 Windsor is situated on a former industrial site next to the old Norfolk and Southern rail yard in the Mechanicsville neighborhood of southwest Atlanta. The buildings are adorned with vibrant street art, and we are committed to supporting the stabilization of the area. Over the past two years, we’ve partnered with various local community members and are now collaborating with Georgia Works, an organization that provides training for individuals transitioning from prison or rehabilitation programs. Our aim is to formalize these efforts by creating a dedicated space for nonprofits to train individuals, helping them connect with others who can support or employ them.
The 787 Windsor venue has hosted notable events such as the AfroPunk festival, Red Bull’s Culture Clash, Bourbon and Bacon, and Milk and Cookies, among many others. We are currently focused on updating the property and developing additional artist studios. With this shift, we are rebranding the space as Mechanicsville Studios, reflecting our growing emphasis on providing dedicated studio spaces for artists and fostering closer connections with the film and movie industry.
Arts incubators drive positive change by bringing together artists and communities. Through resources, mentorship, and creative space, they foster artistic growth while boosting local economies and culture. Their success highlights the power of collaboration in creating a sustainable future for both artists and their communities.
